Deposit Line from Fiserv recognized as Best Smart Payments Solution

BROOKFIELD, Wis. and LONDON, August 12, 2021– Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), a leading global provider of payments and financial services technology solutions, has won the 2021 PayTech Award for the Best Smart Payments Solution. The PayTech Awards, now in their fourth year, recognize excellence and innovation in the finance and payment industry worldwide, and the people who make it happen.

The winning solution, Deposit Line from Fiserv, enables financial institutions to better address the consumer need and demand for short-term by offering immediate liquidity products to customers using deposit-based scoring. Deposit Line provides end-to-end support for an organization’s short-term credit offering, including the determination of accountholder eligibility and suggested available credit limits, using information about the consumer’s deposit account. Risk management can be further enhanced by leveraging SmarterPay^TM, a patented and proven deposit account risk engine from Fiserv, to help the organization manage risk across multiple products and services.

Deposit Line differs from traditional products because it allows financial institutions to leverage the deposit account information they already hold as part of the customer relationship to determine creditworthiness, instead of or in addition to traditional methods, such as running a credit check. Financial institutions have full control and flexibility to set limits, repayment terms, and eligibility criteria.

Deposit Line leverages a single sign-on (SSO) integration to allow accountholders to connect directly and seamlessly from the financial institution mobile app or online banking site to a financial institution-branded site hosted by Fiserv where they can view a loan offer. The loan is preapproved and available when the customer needs it most. This approach helps enable the financial institution to roll out much needed credit solutions, without bearing the investment risk of building the infrastructure from scratch.

Fiserv was also recognized with two Highly Commended PayTech Awards. One for Payments Exchange: RTP^®, a new flexible, multi-tenant, web-based solution that provides banks and credit unions the full power of real-time payments at a lower price point and resource commitment.
