(NASDAQ: FISV), the leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, today announced that Tom Tobin has joined the company as vice president of Product Development for the Risk and Compliance group. In this role, Tobin will lead the global team responsible for the development of the product portfolio which includes Financial Risk Management, Financial Performance Management, Financial Crime Risk Management and Financial Control Solutions.

Tobin comes to Fiserv from Fidex, an early-stage online lending solution where he served as Chief Technology Officer. Previously, Tobin served as senior vice president of Product Development at Logical Apps with overall responsibility for product management and development. During his tenure at Logical Apps, Tobin played a key role in driving the company's ultimate acquisition by Oracle in November 2007. The Logical Apps portfolio of automated control solutions now serve as a core component of Oracle's comprehensive offerings in the Governance, Risk and Compliance applications market. Tobin also previously served as vice president of development at Peregrine Systems (acquired by Hewlett Packard in 2005), and spent ten years in technology leadership roles at Fair Isaac and HNC Software Inc.
