Fiserv Ranks in FORTUNE 500 for Fourth Straight Year

April 23, 2010

BROOKFIELD, Wis., Apr 23, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), the leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, announced today that it ranked 491 on the 2010 FORTUNE 500, an annual ranking of all U.S. companies by revenue. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Fiserv placed on the FORTUNE 500. Additionally, nearly one in four companies named in the Fortune 500 are Fiserv clients.

This ranking follows the March 22 issue of FORTUNE in which Fiserv ranked fifth of the World's Most Admired Companies in the Financial Data Services category for the second year in a row. To compile the list of the World's Most Admired Companies, FORTUNE asks businesspeople to vote for the companies that they admire most.

"Fiserv has remained strong in one of the most tumultuous economic periods in U.S. history thanks to our commitment to serving clients, the quality of our technology solutions, and the dedication and innovation of our associates," said Jeffery Yabuki, President and Chief Executive Officer of Fiserv. "We are proud to be part of this prestigious group of leading Companies."

FORTUNE editor-at-large Shawn Tully writes, "U.S. corporations are staging a nearly unprecedented comeback that's largely escaping notice... For 2009, the FORTUNE 500 lifted earnings 335%, to $391 billion, a $301 billion jump that's the second largest in the list's 56-year history, approaching the increase in the robust recovery of 2003. For last year the 500 raised their return on sales from less than 1% to 4%. That's close to the list's 4.7% historical average."
