Fiserv Raises $10,000 for Local Charities through Holiday Auction

Brookfield, Wis., March 10, 2009 - Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), the leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, today announced that its Amherst operating center raised $10,000 to benefit the American Stroke Association, Lupus Alliance of America-Upstate New York Affiliate, Summit Educational Resources and Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara.

The funds were raised during the center's annual Holiday Auction, held the week of December 8, 2008, as well as by associates' donations throughout the year. Donation proceeds were equally divided among the four charities.

"During these troubling times, it's especially important to support the communities in which we live," said Donald Edman, vice president operations for Fiserv Originations and Automotive Solutions - Amherst. "As part of Fiserv's commitment to the Western New York community, we have donated more than $23,000 over the last four years to local charities through this annual event. We would like to thank our local merchants, automotive auction partners and associates for their continuing contributions to the auction."

Donations were presented to the selected organizations at Fiserv's 6400 Main St. location in Amherst on Feb. 26, 2009, by Edman and Kevin Collins, president of Fiserv Originations and Automotive Solutions.   

"I am proud of the continued generosity of Fiserv associates to their communities, especially in the Western New York region. The recipients of these donations are great organizations who make a huge difference in individual's lives and the community," said Collins.   

Accepting the donations was: Roseanne Stephan, senior director of Cultural Health Initiatives and Lori Marin, Coordinator for the Peer to Peer Visitation Program, of the American Heart Association; Ellen Spangenthal, director of Communications for Summit Educational Resources; Pauline Ziatts, Office Assistant, of the Lupus Alliance of Upstate New York; and Susan Beich, associate executive director of the Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara Foundation.

The American Stroke Association is a division of the American Heart Association that focuses on reducing risk, disability and death from stroke through research, education, fund raising and advocacy.  In collaboration with the University at Buffalo and Buffalo State College Speech Language and Hearing clinics, the American Stroke Association provides a Stroke Peer to Peer Visitation Team to provide hope, encouragement and educational resources to recently afflicted stroke patients in Western New York.

Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease which causes inflammation of various parts of the body, especially the skin, joints, blood or kidneys.  This local chapter of the Lupus Alliance of America was founded in 1977 and is primarily a volunteer driven organization.
