Jersey City, N.J., April 13, 2011 - Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), the leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, announced today that it is once again taking an active role in educating the next generation of New York and New Jersey youth when it becomes a site host for the 2011 Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day on April 28, 2011. The announcement was made by Constance Williams, vice president Human Resources, Fiserv.

Celebrating the theme, "Inventing the Future", this is the third year that children and other young family members of Fiserv associates will be participating in the day-long educational experience, targeted at boys and girls from 8-18 years old. The highly structured Fiserv program, expected to attract between 30-40 children and teens, is modeled after the national Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work day, administered by the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Foundation. The national program has been in existence for more than 18 years.

"The Fiserv Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is designed to be more than a traditional 'career' day, taking children of our associates beyond the average 'shadowing' of an adult at their workplace," Williams said.  "While they are at our facility, the children will attend presentations given by Fiserv associates linking the value of their educations to career choices beyond those to which children are routinely exposed.  The children will also have an opportunity to share how they envision the future, and begin steps toward their long-term goals through participation in a hands-on and interactive group project."

In addition to educating children and teens as to a typical work day of their parents, the program is designed so that parent-employees can expose their children to the complexity of their daily work.  The more than 300 professionals at the Fiserv Jersey City facility provide a broad range of investment management, operations, sales and marketing services to thousands of professional money managers and financial advisors nationwide.

The Fiserv Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day program is one of many commitments Fiserv's Jersey City location has made to its community.  In addition to corporate programs, Fiserv associates based in the Jersey City facility collect backpacks, school supplies, Halloween costumes and toys and distribute these to children in need within the local community.
