Brookfield, Wis., April 2, 2009 - Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), the leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, announced today that Rene Salazar has joined the company as vice president of sales for the Signature Bank Platform for Latin America, Caribbean and Canada. In this role, Salazar will be responsible for relationship management for current customers, as well as revenue generation activities associated with new clients. His team will manage business development activities for the Signature Bank Platform in Canada, the Caribbean and across Central and South America.

Rene joins Fiserv after four and a half years at EDS, an HP Company, where he served in various managing roles. As part of EDS, Rene was responsible for financial services sales, private sector sales, as acting director and most recently as the sales support director for EDS Mexico. In addition to his time at EDS, Rene has more than 20 years of experience with financial services institutions and leading edge technology management firms such as HP Consulting, Ariba Inc., BBVA Bancomer and Banamex in Mexico.
