Transactions can continue through email, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, SMS, Hangouts and other social media networks without physical contact

Buenos Aires, Argentina, April 28, 2020 – With digital payment options in high demand, Argentinian businesses are leveraging a new capability from Posnet, a First Data company that is now part of Fiserv, to enable payments without physical contact between sellers and buyers. The Payment Link capability allows people to use a card to pay for purchases using a PC or mobile device, without the need to download a specific app.

With Payment Link, businesses can use their Posnet terminal to create and provide a hyperlink to their customers through email, SMS (text), WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, Google Hangouts and other social media networks. The buyer can then access this link to pay with a card. This modality can also be implemented simply and quickly on the business’s website. Buyers will be able to carry out transactions with any national or international debit and credit card and access their local plans.

There is no additional cost for the Payment Link capability for existing Posnet clients, and they do not have to register to access this new means of payment. By offering Payment Link, Fiserv is helping businesses continue to operate in a changing environment. By expanding the payment options offered to customers, businesses can continue active operations while adhering to government requirements intended to slow the spread of Covid-19.
