Morris Plains, N.J., September 25, 2012 - Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), a leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, announced today that Fiserv associates in communities across the country, including Morris Plains, N.J., held back-to-school drives throughout the months of July and August in order to collect and donate school supplies to not-for-profits in their local communities.

The Fiserv Morris Plains office collected a total of 1,462 individual items for its back-to-school drive, Project Backpack 2012, which were donated to Market Street Mission. Market Street Mission is a local not-for-profit that reaches out to the poor and needy in Morris County by providing physical needs such as food, shelter clothing and other necessities as well as emotional and spiritual needs with guidance and life change programs.

In the past year, the Morris Plains office collected food donations for the Interfaith Food Pantry in November and held multiple holiday giving events in December that collected money and donations for the New Jersey Battered Women's Shelter, Angel Tree and the Division of Youth and Family Services in Union County West, N.J. In all, the Morris Plains office donated approximately $4,000 in December 2011.

In the U.S., Fiserv is supporting a variety of not-for-profits with school supply drives in the following cities: Dallas; Hillsboro, Ore.; Jersey City, N.J.; King of Prussia, Pa; Lake Mary, Fla.; Morris Plains, N.J; Norcross, Ga.; and South Bend, Ind. Fiserv estimates its associates have delivered, in total, over 5,500 individual school supplies to communities across the country this summer.

"Education is an important area of giving for Fiserv and its associates," said Judy DeRango Wicks, vice president, Communications, Fiserv. "Education is at the core of a healthy and successful child, and can provide guidance for all areas of life including future financial decisions. For this reason, many associates at our offices across the country work to donate school supplies during the back-to-school season."

Fiserv core values are demonstrated by supporting the communities in which its associates live and work, with a focus on youth service organizations and providing assistance in the areas of health and wellness, education and financial literacy. Fiserv annual contributions include both monetary support and the organization of volunteer efforts. The company has a volunteer network called "Fiserv Gives Back" in which nearly 20,000 hours have been logged to over 300 different organizations year-to-date in 2012.
