Fiserv Gives Back; Donates School Supplies to Communities Across the Country, Including Jersey City, N.J.

Jersey City, N.J., September 25, 2012 - Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), a leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, announced today that Fiserv associates in communities across the country, including Jersey City, N.J., held back-to-school drives throughout the months of July and August in order to collect and donate school supplies to not-for-profits in their local communities.

The Fiserv Jersey City office, in conjunction with other Investment Services business unit offices across the country, collected a total of 88 backpacks full of school supplies and cash donations for its back-to-school drive. Those collected in Jersey City were given to the local Boys and Girls Club of Hudson County.

The Boys and Girls Club of Hudson County provides services to children in the Jersey City area, and, according to their website, works to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

In the past year, the Jersey City office hosted an annual Take Our Sons and Daughters to Work Day where sons and daughters of associates worked on educational projects and participated in educational trivia in the office, held a Halloween costume drive for underprivileged children, fundraised for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and donated toys to Toys for Tots during the holiday season

In the U.S., Fiserv is supporting a variety of not-for-profits with school supply drives in the following cities: Dallas; Hillsboro, Ore.; Jersey City, N.J.; King of Prussia, Pa; Lake Mary, Fla.; Morris Plains, N.J; Norcross, Ga.; and South Bend, Ind. Fiserv estimates its associates have delivered, in total, over 5,500 individual school supplies to communities across the country this summer.

"Education is an important area of giving for Fiserv and its associates," said Judy DeRango Wicks, vice president, Communications, Fiserv. "Education is at the core of a healthy and successful child, and can provide guidance for all areas of life including future financial decisions. For this reason, many associates at our offices across the country work to donate school supplies during the back-to-school season."

Fiserv core values are demonstrated by supporting the communities in which its associates live and work, with a focus on youth service organizations and providing assistance in the areas of health and wellness, education and financial literacy. Fiserv annual contributions include both monetary support and the organization of volunteer efforts. The company has a volunteer network called "Fiserv Gives Back" in which nearly 20,000 hours have been logged to over 300 different organizations year-to-date in 2012.
