Baltimore County Savings Bank Chooses Fiserv VISIONBROOKFIELD, Wis..--Feb. 25, 2005--Baltimore County Savings Bank in Baltimore, Md., chose the VISION unit of Fiserv, Inc. (Nasdaq: FISV) for a comprehensive package of information technology products and services to help prepare for future growth.

The savings bank, with $765 million in assets and 15 offices in the Baltimore area, will convert its core account processing later this year to the Fiserv VISION system and will gain a Fiserv solution set that includes check processing, Fiserv EFT for electronic funds transfer, IPS-Sendero for risk management, the VISION Data Warehouse and document imaging.

Baltimore County Savings Bank has enjoyed significant growth in the past few years. Celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2005, the bank was looking for a technology partner to complement its plans, said Gary C. Loraditch, president and CEO.

"We chose Fiserv VISION not for where we are, but for where we want to be," Loraditch said. "We plan to grow - both in assets and in the products and services we offer our customers. We needed a technology provider who could take us there."

Baltimore County Savings Bank already has opened two new offices in 2005 and plans to add a third later this year. This office growth complements a 16% increase in assets during the past year.

The anticipated growth demands a core solution that is fully featured, yet flexible and easy to use, Loraditch said. Baltimore County discovered during its search that Fiserv VISION met all of those criteria, he said.

"We were especially impressed with Fiserv VISION's Cleartouch product line," Loraditch said. "The ability to customize employee desktops according to specific functions was a big plus for us. This will enhance our ability to serve our customers effectively and boost efficiency in the backroom."

Mike Rigney, president of Fiserv VISION, echoes those comments. "We truly believe Cleartouch differentiates us from the competition. Its role-based functionality allows our clients to design their employees' desktops so that all of the tools they need to perform their duties are literally an intuitive mouse click away."

With the emphasis in banking today on establishing and building customer relationships, Fiserv VISION's customer-oriented navigation system, Customer Source, will allow Baltimore County to really know its customers, Loraditch said.

"We take pride in our place in the community and in the relationships we establish with our customers. Tools that enhance our ability to serve our customers benefit the bank and the communities we service," said Loraditch.

While on a visit to Baltimore County Savings, Rigney couldn't help but notice the bank's intense involvement with and visibility in the community.

"Baltimore County is much more than just a financial institution; they are a Baltimore institution," Rigney said. "Their commitment to their customers, involvement in local affairs and insistence on being a good corporate citizen is second to none. Everything they do is with an eye to making their area a better place to live, work and do business. We're excited about the opportunity to work with a strong, growing organization like Baltimore County and are proud to play a part in helping the bank offer even more benefits to their customers and their community."
