(NASDAQ: FISV), the leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, announced today that United Consumers Credit Union (UCCU) of Independence, Missouri is implementing its gateway service for credit card transactions. A longtime client of the Spectrum® account processing solution from Fiserv, UCCU chose the gateway service to consolidate its card based offerings -- credit, debit and ATM -- and leverage a total Fiserv solution.

With the credit gateway service, Fiserv acquires credit transactions directly from Visa or MasterCard and forwards them to issuers or their core processor for host authorization.
