Fiserv Gives Back: Volunteer Effort Exceeds Goal of 25,000 Hours, Supports Organizations in Orlando Area and around the World

Brookfield, Wis., December 10, 2009 - Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), the leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, today announced that in recognition of its 25th year as a company, Fiserv employees have reached and in fact will far exceed the goal of donating 25,000 volunteer hours to hundreds of charitable organizations across the world during the company's anniversary year. Fiserv was formed in 1984, when Sunshine State Systems, Inc. in Tampa, Fla. and First Data Processing based in Milwaukee, Wis., combined to form the first national financial services technology provider. Fiserv has grown over the two and half decades into a Fortune 500 Company with nearly $5 billion in revenues. Currently there are approximately 900 associates in the Orlando area.

The "Fiserv Gives Back: 25 for 25" community service program was launched in July to mark the 25th anniversary of the company and give its 20,000 employees an opportunity to volunteer together to multiply their positive impact in local communities. Fiserv employees volunteered to help hundreds of organizations including local schools, civic groups, children's organizations, shelters, food pantries, animal shelters, community events, fundraisers for research into cancer, diabetes, arthritis, and various other worthy causes.

"In our 25th year we decided as a company to contribute 25,000 hours of volunteerism and are proud of our associates who have helped us to exceed this goal in less than five months," said Tony Catalfano, division president, Bank Solutions, Fiserv. "At the Fiserv Orlando office, we have always been committed to contributing to the communities in which we live and work but taking the time to compile the efforts of all of our associates helped us to really understand the positive impact Fiserv associates are making in their communities every day. We are proud of our employees' efforts and say thanks to each one of them for their local leadership."

Fiserv used a database for employees to record hours supporting the organizations and efforts of their choice. Company associates have logged more than 27,000 hours since the summer and are continuing to donate every day. Highlights of Fiserv volunteers from the Orlando area who contributed above and beyond the call of duty are included below.

Wayne Baker, software development engineer, Bank Solutions, who has worked for Fiserv for ten years, volunteers his time to his daughter's 200- member high school marching band. Wayne is not only an alumnus of the Winter Park High School Band, but he is the proud dad of the current drum major. He spends his time raising money, packing and transporting equipment, and is honored to have been on the sidelines to watch the band's first place finish at the Florida Marching Band Coalition State Championship in November.

Lois Weinberg, a software development engineer for Bank Solutions, who has been with Fiserv for more than 32 years, believes that if her volunteer efforts can brighten someone's day then they are worth it. It is with this mind-set that Lois got involved with Angel Food Ministries, a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States at deeply discounted prices (the Signature box is enough to feed a family of four for a week and only costs $30.00). The Angel Food Distribution Center where Weinberg volunteers is located at her church and currently services about 100-150 families from the Edgewater, Fla. area each month. To support the mission of Angel Food Ministries, Weinberg used her technical skills to write a program that facilitates taking orders and doing monthly distribution at the distribution center. Additionally, Weinberg spends Saturdays taking orders.

Robert Hayne, senior vice president of Global Support Services, who has been with Fiserv just short of 28 years first got involved with the American Cancer Society more than eight years ago as a way to make a difference in the Orlando community. Hayne originally chose the American Cancer Society because he knew a lot of people who had been touched by cancer and he wanted to support them. The organization's mission became more personal to Hayne a few years ago when he was diagnosed with cancer. Today, as a cancer survivor, Hayne serves as an American Cancer Society Board member where he is currently the Board Secretary and an Executive Committee member as well as Chair of the Lake Mary - Heathrow Relay For Life.

To support Hayne's involvement in the American Cancer Society, the Fiserv location in Lake Mary, Fla. has also gotten behind the organization's mission. For four of the past five years Fiserv has been the top Corporate fundraiser for the Lake Mary - Heathrow Relay for Life, one of American Cancer Society's top fundraising and awareness events, in addition to being a corporate sponsor for the past five years.

Fiserv will continue to encourage employees to volunteer throughout the holiday season into March of next year. The company has announced a new goal of 50,000 hours by March 31, 2010 to continue the 25th anniversary celebration.
